Yes, in hindsight, this is true and I know this now. But hindsight is always 20/20 and there’s always the fear that whatever cylindrical object you use will break inside you or something like that. I handled myself for the first three months of surgery carefully because I was concerned that I would damage myself.
This is especially true when I was state-side and not just across the street from Dr. Pichet.

You say you lost your dilator, but from what I hear it’s possible to dilate with any other cylindrical object or even your fingers in a pinch.
